Summary
This is a brief, open-to-the-public mindful happiness course. All levels of experience are welcome. Experiential practices are research-based and practical. The Zen principle of “feeling perception” will be utilized.
Due to finacial support from a The Eleanor R. Liebman Foundation, the course will be co-funded by participant donations of $3-5 per session.
Schedule
Week 1: January 3 - Breathing skills, contemplation, self-reflection and meditation, mindful movement
Week 2: January 17 - Mindful awareness, cognitive flexibility, happiness self-study, re-perceiving, meditation, mindful movement
Week 3: January 31 - Hope, optimism, happiness/gratitude journal, simple pleasures, meditation, mindful movement
Week 4: February 7 - Multi-sensory memory, smiling, locus of control, meditation, mindful movement
Week 5: February 21 - loving kindness, attention deployment, self-medication and emotion regulation, meditation, mindful movement
Modalities & Techniques
Brief lecture-discussion, experiential skills practices.

About Anthony R. Quintiliani
Dr. Anthony R. Quintiliani holds a Ph.D. in Psychology. He is a Doctoral level Licensed Psychologist and a Licensed Alcohol and Drug Abuse Counselor with 35 years of clinical and educational experience in schools, community clinics and higher education. Dr. Quintiliani has been a mindfulness and meditation practitioner since the early 1980's.
